Your Fluid Reduction Partner

Our one-of-a-kind approach enables customers to reduce the impact of metalworking fluids on their operations and work environment. Our proven and proactive approach to fluid reduction makes us truly unique to the stamping and machining industry.

We assess the entire life cycle of the fluid as it moves through a facility and implement changes to reduce usage and help close the loop on fluid waste. With our experience and our customers’ investment in the process, we can significantly reduce the impact a company has on their internal work environment, the local environment, and even the world!

Fluid Lifecycle Analysis

The Impact Fluids Lifecycle Analysis is our starting point and integral to our partnership with each customer. We analyze each step fluid takes from purchasing to waste removal and, with our experience in fluid processes, evaluate areas for reduction. Whether it is mixing, central supply, application, fluid selection, or ongoing management, we have experience and relationships to advise and integrate changes in your operation that can save significant amounts of waste and money.

Your commitment to the process is to assign an internal champion to work with our experts and begin the analysis process.

Fluid Mixing and Delivery

Proper mixing is essential to tool performance in stamping and machining. When fluid is mixed too lean, tool performance and life can be reduced. When fluid is mixed too heavy, unnecessary concentrate usage increases and so do costs. Using a positive displacement proportioning systems will take the “human factor” out of mixing.

Additionally, delivering the properly mixed fluid to each machine through a central mixing system will reduce machine down time and increase the productivity of the operator.

Fluid Application

The application of fluid in stamping or machining can be the most wasteful part of the fluid lifecycle. We have over 30 years of experience in fluid application methods which gives us a unique ability to see waste and offer solutions to bring that waste under control. Improved application methods will reduce waste and have a positive effect on tool life and the cleanliness of work areas and machines. This reduction has an exponential effect on everything that fluid touches, at the machine and downstream.

Fluid Selection

All metalworking fluids are not created equal. To reduce fluid costs, a typical approach is to find a less expensive fluid. This does not always work out well. Often a less expensive fluid has less capabilities. This means using more of the concentrate to achieve the same tool life. By adopting the Impact Fluids Reduction Process, you apply significantly less of a more capable fluid while reducing costs, waste, and the mess of excess fluid.

Fluid Service and Training

As the word Lifecycle implies, our job continues after the reduction processes are implemented. We partner with you to periodically train your staff in the fluid reduction process and reevaluate your fluid use and handling. We want to always be earning your business by helping you reduce waste and keep your costs in line.

Automotive Supplier Saves $82K Annually

"A Tier One automotive supplier was spending $115,000 annually to provide lubricant to two transfer presses in one area of its shop. Calculations on the recommendation to replace the spraying systems on those two presses with roller coaters, to eliminate overspray showed management that it could cost-justify the new lube systems in less than a year. Total tangible savings: $82,000 for both presses."
